Every one of our wedding packages comes with a complimentary engagement session. Even if the couple has had an engagement session with another photographer already, we still encourage them to do the session with us. The biggest reason behind this is because of how much it improves the comfort level between us and them on their wedding day. A couple who has been photographed by us prior to the big day will be more comfortable in front of the camera, more trusting of our suggestions, and much more relaxed throughout. The difference is so incredibly noticeable and helpful, especially since we spend so much time with them on the wedding day itself.
Another reason that is a little bit more selfish in nature is that Engagement Sessions are just fun. There is little to no pressure and the transformation of the couple from the beginning to the end of the session never gets old. Body language changes and the nerves melt away. Walls start to lower and we get glimpses into who they are and how they interact as a couple. There is so much value to this as it reminds us why we love being photographers.
2019 brought us all over the state once again. We had stops in Milwaukee, Stevens Point, Black River Falls, Green Bay, Oshkosh, and all-around Madison. We made a few trips back down to Chicago and Iowa, and even made the trek to Dallas, Texas. Every beautiful stop had amazing couples and plenty of laughs. It was a good year.
