Emily and Tim booked us as their wedding photographers over a year ago, so I was incredibly excited to finally meet up with them and capture their engagement pictures in the La Crosse area! Not only are these two really sweet and crazy in love, but they must also be models on the side. We had one heck of a session, and I was starry-eyed the entire time!
They both picked the downtown La Crosse area, around Riverside Park and Pearl Street, for their first engagement session location. What I loved most about this is that they trusted us on where the best spots would be for lighting and great backdrops. Let me say, we found the most amazing light! The day started of dark and rainy, but the afternoon light did not let us down!
Once we got a ton of pictures around Riverside Park, we headed on over to Pearl Street where they put on their Viterbo and UW-La Crosse sweaters, followed by their Green Bay Packers jerseys! We got some sweet pictures of them snuggling up inside an ice cream parlor, as well as outside in the La Crosse alleys. I love the pictures that represent who they are, and having these quick outfit changes does just that.
Afterword, we headed up to Grandad Bluff. Engagement sessions are always so beautiful on top of Granddad Bluff, especially away from all of the people, but this one seemed extra special. Since we had rain and clouds for several days, I was so excited when the sun mixed with the clouds just perfectly to give us an amazing grand finale on top of the bluffs. It was incredible!! We shot for quite some time, chasing the light before it set over the bluffs surrounding La Crosse.
