2017 started off with a bang. Not that we ever need an excuse to go to Charleston, SC but our first wedding of the year brought us back to this wonderful city. We first met Elba and Michael in December of 2015 when they decided to hire us to shoot their engagement photos in downtown historic Charleston, at White Point Gardens and Rainbow Row. Thankfully, they liked the photos enough to bring us back down to capture their special day!
We started off the morning at their home in Charleston, where we captured Elba’s gorgeous details. We then met at Hampton Park in Charleston where Michael saw his beautiful bride for the first time, with a romantic first look under a gorgeous Oak tree covered in Spanish moss. The trees in this park were increadible, and I really wanted to just stay here all day and capture everything! However, the day had to go on and we all traveled to Gold Bug Island for the Wedding and Reception. The wedding ceremony took place at golden hour, surrounded by their closest family and friends from all over the world.
One of my favorite parts of the evening was the cutting of the cake, which was lit up with sparklers! Such a fun and unique idea! This wedding was nothing short of amazing, and the people and locations were as incredible as the weather.
