We had the pleasure of capturing Ashley and Matt’s wedding this past weekend in Dubuque, IA! These two are high school sweethearts and have been together for ten years! Their connection is beautiful, and it was such a joy to capture their day!
Every wedding day it feels like we go into it not knowing what the weather will do and if there will be rain or not. Their wedding was no exception! With the already wet weather Dubuque has been getting, Ashley and Matt had to change their ceremony location a few days before their big day because their original location was still under water! Plus, rain was in the forecast for their outdoor ceremony the entire week. I have to say, everything came together flawlessly and their new location, outdoors at the Grand River Center, was perfect! There was only a few minutes of very light sprinkles before the ceremony, and that was it!
After their ceremony, we headed over to the Peosta Community Centre where their reception took place. Ashley did an amazing job with her vision for this space, and I loved the rustic vibe that she incorporated into the setting. Plus, her Dad made the gorgeous marquee letter lights, which spelled out their new last name, Bell! I love this personal touch and how they were in the background for speeches and the first dances!
Their day ended up being perfect, and we enjoyed every moment of their day!
