As I sit here reflecting on 2017, I’m once again struck by how lucky we have been when it comes to the people we’ve me through our business. I’ve made it no secret that Engagement Sessions are my favorite and the reason for that is that I always come away feeling like Larissa and I could be friends with the couple afterwards. That is why we’ve always been so adamant about including engagement sessions prior to the wedding date. It is our opportunity to connect with the bride and groom, have some fun, and hopefully be even more comfortable with each other when we get to the main event.
This past year once again had us traveling all over the state to meet couples at locations that matter to them. We crisscrossed the state from the hills and bluffs of The Driftless Area to the rocky shores of Lake Michigan and north to The Fox Valley area multiple times meeting incredible people and finding beautiful locations along the way. There were even some out of state trips to Illinois and North Carolina along the way. I’m pretty sure I saw smoke coming from the odometer on my Jeep from all the spinning but we still wouldn’t have it any other way. Regardless of where we wound up, whether it was the bustling downtown streets of Chicago or the rolling farmland and forests of Waupaca, there were always genuine smiles and breathtaking backdrops to help make 2017 amazing.
